The Design and Planning Manager in the furniture industry is responsible for overseeing the
development, design, and planning processes of furniture products. This role requires a
blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure the
successful creation and implementation of innovative and functional furniture designs. The
manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers,
marketing, and production, to bring concepts to life from initial ideation to final production

Responsibilities
● Conduct accurate site measurements to ensure precise furniture fit and installation.
● Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and create custom furniture designs that
meet their specifications and preferences.
● Oversee and coordinate the installation of furniture, ensuring high standards of quality and
customer satisfaction.
● Develop and manage production plans to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing
processes.
● Utilise CAD software to create 3D designs and assemblies for furniture parts, ensuring
accuracy and feasibility.
● Create detailed 2D drawings for production and evaluate vendor orders to ensure
compliance with design specifications and quality standards
● Lead and inspire the design team to develop innovative furniture concepts that align with
market trends, customer needs, and company vision.
