About the role:
The Export Assistant will be responsible for overseeing and managing the import
operations for chemical products. This role requires a strong understanding of import
regulations, logistics, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:
● Import Documentation: Prepare and review all necessary import
documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents,
customs clearance, and import permits.
● Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations
and certifications for chemical products, including hazardous materials handling.
● Supplier Management: Collaborate with international suppliers to secure
optimal shipping arrangements and negotiate favorable terms for imports.
● Customs Clearance: Coordinate with customs brokers and authorities to ensure
timely and efficient customs clearance for imported goods.
● Logistics: Plan and manage the logistics of chemical imports, including
transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
● Cost Control: Monitor and optimize import costs, including shipping, tariffs, and
customs fees.
● Quality Control: Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that
imported chemicals meet the required quality standards.

● Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential import risks, such as supply
chain disruptions or regulatory changes.
● Reporting: Generate regular reports on import activities, costs, and performance
indicators for management review.
● Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with international
suppliers, customs authorities, and logistics partners.

To excel in this role, the Import Executive should possess the following competencies:
● Knowledge of Export Regulations: In-depth understanding of international
import regulations, especially those relevant to the chemical industry.
● Supply Chain Management: Proficiency in supply chain management, including
logistics, procurement, and inventory control.
● Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with
suppliers and service providers.
● Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and
hazardous materials handling.
● Documentation Expertise: Proficient in preparing, reviewing, and managing
import-related documentation.
● Cost Management: Ability to control and optimize import-related costs.
● Problem-Solving: Quick and effective problem-solving skills to address issues
related to imports.
● Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to
collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
● Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple import
projects simultaneously.
● Risk Assessment: The ability to identify and mitigate potential risks associated
with imports.
● Quality Assurance: Understanding of chemical product quality control and
quality assurance procedures.


Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management,
International Business, or Chemistry).
● Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in import operations, preferably in the
chemical industry.

● Knowledge of relevant software and tools used in import and supply chain
management.

Location and commitments:
● Full-time Work from Office - Malad West (Head office).
● Working hours – 09:30 to 6:00 pm.
