Job description

As a Production and Planning Manager, your core responsibility is to oversee and
optimise the entire production process, from raw materials to finished products.
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and in
alignment with the company's quality standards and delivery schedules.

including residential, commercial, or industrial use. The company designs, creates,
produces, delivers and instals furniture. The company transforms the finest materials
into exquisite pieces that redefine elegance and comfort. Its headquarter is located
at Chandigarh. And its Manufacturing Plant is located at Raipur.
Key Responsibilities:
● Estimate costs and prepare budgets
● Organise workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
● Monitor production to resolve issues
● Supervise and evaluate performance of production
● Determine the amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
● Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
● Ensure output meets quality standards
● Enforce health and safety precautions
● Report to upper management
Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans and schedules to
meet customer demand while optimising resources and minimising lead times. Plan,
organise, and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery
deadlines. Monitor daily production activities, ensuring adherence to quality
standards and production targets.
Capacity Planning: Analyse production capacity and allocate resources effectively
to meet production targets and customer orders.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and
finished goods to ensure adequate stock levels while minimising excess inventory
and carrying costs. Manage inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials and components. Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste
and maintain cost efficiency.
Workflow Optimization: Continuously improve production processes and workflows
to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that furniture
products meet established quality standards and specifications. Establish and
maintain quality control procedures to ensure the production of high-quality furniture.
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and resolve any
production issues. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement
improvements in quality standards.
Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw
materials and components required for production.
Team Management: Lead and supervise production planning teams, providing
guidance, coaching, and training as needed to ensure optimal performance. Recruit,
train, and supervise factory staff, including production supervisors and workers. Set
performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations. Foster a positive
work environment, promoting teamwork, safety, and employee development.
Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe
working environment for all employees. Conduct safety training programs and
maintain compliance with relevant regulations. Ensure compliance with safety
regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies in all production activities.
Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage the factory budget, controlling
costs while ensuring operational efficiency. Monitor expenses related to labour,
materials, and equipment maintenance.
Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to
production efficiency, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and other relevant metrics.

Production Coordination: Liaise with production, procurement, logistics, and sales
teams to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues or bottlenecks that
may arise.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost
reductions, and waste minimization, and implement appropriate measures to drive
continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description:
● Preparing Production reports and submitting them to users and management.
● Manage and coordinate daily operations of the division.
● Monitoring Input to Output Material requirements, movements as per quality
parameters.
● Oversee all levels of team activity and performance
● Analysing production data to identify and resolve any production / quality issues.
● Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance.
● Monitor equipment and ensure that they are in good working order.
● Repair or replace plant equipment as needed.
● Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
